What we collect

When you request a quote, book service, fill in a form on our website or on a social-media ad, call or text us, or become a customer, we collect the details you give us: your name, company, phone number, email address, site or service address, and what you're asking for. If you use our website, standard analytics data (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location) may be collected by the website platform and its analytics tools.

Why we collect it

To respond to your request, price and schedule the work, deliver and service equipment at the right place, invoice you, and keep in touch about your account. If you've asked about our services or are a customer, we may also send you occasional emails or texts about services relevant to you — seasonal reminders, for example. Every one of those messages includes a way to opt out, and you can also opt out any time by emailing dispatch@sssrents.ca.

Advertising

We advertise on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. If you respond to one of our ads by filling in a lead form, the information you enter is sent to us and used only as described above. Those platforms have their own privacy policies covering what they collect. We may use a list of our existing customers' contact details to make sure our advertising isn't shown to people who are already customers; that list is uploaded to the advertising platform in a hashed form and is not used by them for anything else.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share it only with the service providers we use to run the business — our customer-relationship and dispatch software, invoicing and payment processors, email and texting tools, and our website host — and only so they can do that work for us. We'll disclose information if the law requires it.

Where it's kept and for how long

Our records are kept in Canadian-hosted business software where that's available to us. We keep customer and enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal and tax obligations, then delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. Contact dispatch@sssrents.ca or 780.679.8961.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.

This policy is intended to reflect Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA and anti-spam law (CASL).
